Start your day early with pickup from the Racine district of central Casablanca or your centrally located hotel. After meeting your driver, board your sedan, minivan, or bus, depending on the size of your group, and relax on the 3-hour drive along the Atlantic coast and inland to Fez.

When you arrive, you will begin your sightseeing in the New Medina, the newest part of the city, before heading to the Old Medina. During your time here you will understand why many believe that Fez has the best preserved old town in the Arab world. In fact, Medina of Fez is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Exploring the narrow streets of this medieval town, you'll see a brilliant display of traditional Moroccan architecture, zellige tiles, and painstakingly carved and painted wood carvings. Your driver-guide will point out Dar Bouanania, a popular local hotel, before taking you to the Attarine Medersa, an educational institution built by the Benimerines, who were the North African peoples of the dynasty between the 13th and 14th centuries. You will be amazed by the elaborate decorations of this architectural gem, built on the orders of Sultan Abou Said Ohman.

Visit the ancient educational center, the Kairaouine Mosque, founded in the year 857. It is the second largest mosque in Morocco and the oldest Islamic monument in Fez, and is also considered the holiest in Morocco, which governs the programming of all Islamic holidays throughout the country. Non-Muslims are not allowed inside the mosque, but you can admire it from the outside.

End the day in Fez el-Bali, the oldest walled part of the city, where you will find the medina of Fez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where madrasas (educational institutions), fondouks (traditional pensions for merchants) are located , mosques and palaces dating back to the rule of the Benimerines in the 13th and 14th centuries, when Fez replaced Marrakech as the capital of the kingdom of Morocco.

Stroll through the immense labyrinth of souks where artisans sell their wares. You will feel as if you have been transported back in time. Feel free to buy anything that catches your eye. At the end of the day, relax on the drive back to Casablanca, arriving around 6pm.
