DAY 1 : FROM MARRAKECH TO AIT BENHADDOU AND ZAGORA :
Picked up from Marrakech at 07:00, you will start your journey crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n'tichka pass towards the beautiful village of Ait Benhaddou. Upon arrival at the site, enjoy the splendor of its historic castle which is built on a hill overlooking the area. From there, a stop will be made in the Draa Valley famous for its impressive Ksour and Kasbah before climbing to an altitude of over 1,160 meters in the arid land of the city of Ouarzazate. In the last section of the journey that connects Ouarzazate with Zagora, you will be able to admire the most beautiful valleys of Morocco and its beautiful villages full of local craft shops.
In the past, the oasis of Zagora was a caravan center, the starting point for large trans-Saharan convoys. Once there, you will enjoy a 1-hour camel ride from Zagora to reach the Bivouac camp. Along the way you will be able to see the incredible panoramic views at sunset. At the camp, you can enjoy a traditional dinner under the starry sky and retire to your tent for the night near the Zagora dunes.
DAY 2: DESERT IN ZAGORA - OUARAZAZATE- MARRAKECH:
Early in the morning around 5:00 a.m., you will wake up to a beautiful sunrise over the sand dunes and enjoy a typical Berber breakfast offered at the camp. Once again you will ride a camel for 1 hour until you reach Zagora. If the weather and weather conditions allow it, you can visit Tamegroute. It is located only about 20 km (13 miles) from Zagora on the old road to Timbuktu. The city is known for its historical library of the Koranic School of Zaouia Naciria and the pottery crafts cooperative.
Along the route to Marrakech, you will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (own expense) before making the Circuit again through the Atlas Mountains and through the Tizi n'Tichka pass.
